How long has Rototek been in business?
Rototek was formed in 1993 by Martin Spencer. Following a career in kayak and paddle design and manufacture, Martin saw an opportunity in the industry for more innovation both in the technology used, and the products produced. Starting with one custom built machine, the Company soon established itself as a leading trade moulder with the aim of promoting innovation within the industry and helping designer to utilise the process to the best effect.
How big is Rototek today?
Rototek have recently moved into new 65,000sq ft premises just on the outskirts of Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire. The move has allowed Rototek to continue it's growth and move into even more markets. Investment in new machinery means the Company can now manufacture products up to 7m in length and 3m in diameter.
Other machines in the new site include 3 x 2m rock and roll machines, and 2 x fully automated rotomoulding machines.
How many people are currently employed at Rototek?
Rototek today employs over 50 people. The Company operate 3 shifts running 24 hours a day 6 days a week.
Can Rototek help with the design of Rotomoulded products?
Of course. With an in house design facility running the latest 3D CAD software (SolidWorks), Rototek are able to assist with the design and manufacture at all stages of the process. Involving the manufacturer at the earliest stage possible can often eliminate the need for redesign later on.
How do I know the products recieved will be up to standard?
Rototek's quality management system is certified to the ISO 9001 quality standard.
Our quality management system and the procedures we have implemented in becoming ISO certified allow us to provide our customers with excellence in all aspects of rotational molding. Rototek work closely with clients to establish a set of checks and procedure which must be carried out before the product is despatched.
Rototek also provide an assembly and packing service allowing us to add value to the rotomouldings before they are shipped. Some products are even despatched direct to end users, eliminating the need for double handling.
